Crossing the Bridge
Difficulty: Medium-Advanced
Arranger: Howard Summers
Battle in the Mutara Nebula by James Horner
Crossing the Bridge opens with the two sides of the field separated by a river. The conflict between the two sides is apparent through the angular and dissonant musical ideas, including a woodwind feature that "duels" back and forth between the sides. Through the American folk song "Shenandoah," the two sides begin to build a bridge between them. While the blending of the two sides initially causes conflict, it is resolved by the end.
